“ The food here is mouthwatering delicious with amazing flavor!! The ceviche is top notch, fancy Austin restaurants could never. It is worth the wait and David is so generous and friendly. If you value good food served by good people, this is the place to come! You cannot beat the value either! We order way too much food for two people because we want to try everything. ”
“ I have been his customer since I was in college and he was still in his tiny silver truck. Whenever people ask me for recommendations of where to eat in Austin this is the first place I recommend! I no longer live in Austin but when Im in town I always make a visit. It has been over 5 years since I left Austin and the flavors are still the same day one. It is best to call in and order ahead. The owner/chef is very kind and friendly. He is from Lima so you know the food here is legit. Wishing him continued success. ”
“ BEST CEVICHE I ever had! It may look small but it was packed with fish in there. The corn, plantain chips, and all the items in there add such a great texture to it. I enjoyed how tart it is too. We asked for medium spice level, but it is spicy already so be warned. I also got their salchipapas which is just sausage and fries. They filled it to the brim and gave me three different sauces. I got it to go because there is a lot of mosquitoes there. The chef was nice and he had bug sprays available for us to use. ”
“ I had the best ceviche ever, even better than the one I had many times in Peru. The Lomo Saltado and Chaufa rice also were good. We see how passionate and dedicated David is with food. It demonstrates that a good food needs some time to make it. Waiting in line is REALLY worth it. ”
“ It was absolutely amazing! Well worth the wait because good things take time and we were warned about the wait time which honestly wasn’t too bad considering the chef is only one person cooking these amazing meals! The portion was absolutely perfect! The food tasted so fresh and filled with more than enough of the other ingredients! Not skimpy at all and I’ll be happy to spend my money here again. I ordered the chicken plate with plantains and the beef stir fry ”
“ I've lived in Austin for 9 years, originally from Miami and a good Peruvian spot doesn't exist. Until now. Their ceviche is solid. But their arroz chaufa no shame is the best I've had. Yes, best. And I know Peruvian food. Don't worry about the wait. It's worth it. You'll be thinking about it the next morning. ”
“ Best of the best. Best ceviche with real aji peruano, choclo peruano. Great taste! Also best lomo saltado. Great taste and big portion. Service was fast and the chef was really friendly. ”
“ First time coming here. We ordered the ceviche and it was so good. You can tell the ingredients were fresh and made fresh. David and Angelica were so kind. Won’t be the last time we come and visit. ”
